This service is intended to bridge the gap between designing a new layout and planting scheme and a mature garden.

In the design stage we focus on creating a strong layout design which forms the backbone of the garden as well as a thought-through planting scheme, designed to suit the site conditions and with resilience in mind.

With the planting installation I ensure healthy plant stock is chosen, and where the specified plants are not available, choose alternatives that work for the scheme and site. I also ensure plants are put in the ground according to the design and planted to professional standards.

With Aftercare and Guidance, we continue monitoring the garden and make small tweaks where required, to ensure the planting grows strong, relatively self-reliant and requires a low intensity of intervention. Some areas might require additional or top up planting where some species did not thrive as anticipated. By making those interventions, we ensure the design stays visually appealing and the planting works as a whole.

2. Planting Implementation

This is an important step in ensuring plant health and resilience later on. Using healthy plants at the right size and planting them at the correct depth is vital to ensure their longevity.

What it looks like
I will organise the plant sourcing, liaising with plant nurseries and be on site to receive the delivery to ensure high plant quality and a smooth planting schedule. The plants will then be set out on site in the prepared borders according to the planting design and any adjustment to the layout can be made before planting.

3. Guidance & Aftercare
Supporting Site Visits, Guidance and Seasonal check-ins help the garden establish well after planting and allows us to guide it towards what we have envisioned in the design. For more details take a look here:
